Hello, this is the voicemail of Hank Pym. I check my messages every day at 9PM. If I don't get back to you in an hour, please don't come knocking. I promise I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
I'm more than willing to help. I've got some ideas if you haven't touched on them yourself already. Talking with another imPort also brought up a good point, though I'm not so sure it would fit in line with the facility.
I want to keep a streamline focus on the first milestone which is to deliver one thing and one thing only, training and support for training. Anything else has to be secondary. For now. Funding pending, anyway.
I had that in mind. I think another charity event might... irritate people more than anything. But I'll talk to some of the ambassadors and see if they're willing to lend a hand.
No, it was suppose to be a self-serve facility. I had a discussion about it, we can't anticipate the needs of every imPort and their powers. So it might be best to have people come in with more experience training partners. What I meant by support is more in the line of facilities, medical support in case of training related emergencies, typical training gear to start them up...other amenities I can't think of at the moment.
And honestly, the city of Heropa can use more of the funding right now.
[ She scratches the back of her neck. ]
We're on the same page, then. Getting a facility like that up and running is great, but like you said, imPorts need other imPorts already available. During February I saw firsthand how unorganized imPorts are even with their powers, but without? It was... pretty bad.
The other suggestion that was brought to me, but again, I'm wondering if this should be a separate program is some sort of buddy system for minors.
Like you said, February was a bad month for all of us.
[ a long sigh. hank rubs his face ] The problem with minors... I agree, I think that's going to be a whole separate issue. Some of them needs training and some of them needs something else entirely.
[ not that many of the adults here are very mature, lbr ]
Anyway, a training facility to start. We can have volunteers for basic self-defence, further and more specialized training will have to come from a matched partner. I don't think it'll be too hard to put that in an app.
[ Her exact concern, but she didn't want to disappoint Jaime, who's still a teenager himself. ]
Glad you've got it outlined. I manage my own team of superheroes back home, which includes providing them the training and discipline necessary for controlling their powers, or being able to defend themselves without it. I'm willing to volunteer my time as an instructor.
Where were you thinking of basing this again? In Heropa?
Heropa was the idea. It was ideal for new imPorts, good place to start off on. But Heropa's concentration of imPorts also concerns me. It makes it an easy target. It's largely undecided for now.
Ah, thank you for your volunteering your time and for calling me about this. I know I can rope a few people into doing some charitable work. I'm available for the same thing, of course but I do have more experience in teaching. I might be more useful in the youth program.

[ And they're right in the middle of more auctions and charity events, so the timing works against Hank. ]
Out of curiosity, you do have instructors lined up and available for training and support, right?

It's a lot to work towards, but I know it'll be worth it. I can even get in contact with some people, see if they would be willing to provide funding.

I'll pull some strings with Tony Stark, and see if he's feeling charitable. Any other deep pockets I should be talking to?
